Please contact us if you have any problems listening to any program or accessing any pages. We would also love to hear from you if you enjoy our programming, have suggestions for programming, or know a songwriter or performer that you would like to hear on "Vine Radio".

You can also contact us if you want to talk about the Lord. We don't argue, but we will share our knowledge of, love for, and dependence on Him.

To Songwriters and Performers

We are always collecting music for Vine Radio; a non-profit, non-commercial, internet radio station. If you are a songwriter and/or performer and would like to share your music via Vine Radio, please read the "Music Criteria" and "Submit Music" instructions.

Music Criteria -

You must be the owner of the music or have the authority to permit us to use the music.

You must be a Christian, and you are expected to live like a Christian.

Your music must glorify and praise or thank God; and only God.

Your music must be pleasing to our audience; however, your music does not have to be a "professional music production" and you do not have to be an "artist" in the "industry." We at Vine Radio are not attempting to compete with the world.

We are a $0.00 budget radio station. We do not pay royalties or any other fees for programs or music. Our Father owns the cattle on a 1,000 hills, and He provides all of our needs. Therefore, we do not accept music that requires payment.

Submission Requirements -

A message stating your desire to have your music shared via Vine Radio.

A statement that you have the legal right to allow Vine Radio to play your music.

A short bio or statement relating, describing, or expressing your relationship with Jesus Christ.

A link to where we can listen to your music or upload a selection or two.

The most efficient method of music submission is through our Artist Area. Please follow the direction in the "Perspective Artist" section of the "Artist Area" located below.

Click on "Artist Area" on the menu at the top of this page. You will be taken to the Artist Upload area. Create an account. You will receive a e-mail link which will allow you to enter the area. You will be presented with announcements which you must acknowledge before going any further. Please read the notices. You will receive instructions as to how to submit the required information and how to upload your music.

Current Vine Radio Artists

Quality Upgrade - If you have a higher quality recording than we are playing and would like the higher quality played on Vine Radio, please send the files. We prefer 320 Kbps but 128 Kbps will work acceptably.

Music Uploads

We have an Artist Upload Area available to all Vine Radio artists. This area will allow artists to upload new songs and be assured that the music has, in fact, been uploaded. You will be notified via automatic e-mail as to which files have been received, and we will be notified that the files are on our server. This is all automatic so we can't forget that you have sent new files. These files are kept in your area until we move them into the rotation. That way you know we have the files and we know who sent the files. Occasionally we receive songs that have no artist name attached to them, so we have to guess. Please go to the Artist Upload Link and upload/update your music.

(If this works as planned, "On Demand" music will be read straight from your uploaded files. This way, if music is missing or labeled incorrectly, you can make the corrections.)

Our Story

Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Mt. LeConte

Our roots go half way up the mountain, behind the fog cover. My great grandfather was a farmer and bear trapper until the Park Service bought up all of the land and he had to move to a location lower down the mountain. My grandfather lived just below his father where he was a farmer, postman, and school teacher until a few years before WW II. He then built a few cabins and started renting them to tourist, mostly from Knoxville. In fact, he was the first person to rent cabins in Gatlinburg. My father played guitar and sang for the tourist during the evenings, after he finished helping his father with the chores. He did this until he was drafted in WW II.

When he came back from the war, he married my mother and moved to Knoxville. About two years later I was born. Shortly after my birth my father started preaching. He preached anywhere anyone would listen. My favorite place for him to preach was in the local jail. It was exciting for a five year old to be locked in a large cell with all of these strange men. Not many years later he became the pastor of a small church in a small town. From that time on we traveled all over the Eastern United States. I think I have eaten more fried chicken in more towns than most people have eaten in their on home.
